Dentro de los polisac\u00e1ridos, un subgrupo de particular inter\u00e9s est\u00e1 representado por los glicosaminoglicanos (GAGs), dentro de los cuales se incluyen el \u00e1cido hialur\u00f3nico, el heparosan y la heparina, entre otros; de gran importancia en las industrias cosm\u00e9tica, m\u00e9dica, farmac\u00e9utica y alimentaria.
